Brenda Rodriguez, MS (Outgoing)

Serving as an Emergency Management Coordinator I for the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department, Brenda Rodriguez serves in the Community Preparedness and Engagement Division which strives to increase overall readiness for City of Los Angeles residents. Prior to her time at the City of Los Angeles, Rodriguez served as the Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager for the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County and provided technical support and assistance, and facilitation of plan development for health centers in Business Continuity, Emergency Operations, and Hazard-specific response plans.

Ms. Rodriguez received her undergraduate degree in Geology from California State University Northridge. She obtained her Master’s in Emergency Services Administration from California State University Long Beach in Spring 2021.

Rodriguez was formerly the chair for the Clinic Emergency Preparedness Peer Network at the California Primary Care Association in 2020 and served as the Disaster Resource Center chair for community health centers in LA County. She is also a member of the Healthcare committee for the Earthquake Country Alliance, AHEPP, IAEM, CESA, and EERI. In 2018, the Business and Industry Council for Emergency Planning and Preparedness (BICEPP) awarded to her the ‘Rising Star’ award for her impressive contributions to the world of Emergency Preparedness.
